Warehouse 421

In this exhibition, artist Talin Hazbar, focuses on the architectural and cultural significance of water features in traditional Syrian houses. Located within the courtyard of the home, the water feature acts as a center of social intercourse, where family gatherings and intimate exchanges alike take place. The exhibition examines how the water feature’s surroundings inform its formal language and, in turn, how factors such as material, shape, and construction inform cultural heritage.
The exhibition will open on 2 November at 18:30.
