(b.1984) in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia and is currently living in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Ayman Experiments with different media coupled with a fascination of scientific processes and the properties of unconventional materials are all features that characterize the work of Ayman Zedani. The nature of representation as it emerges through the manipulation of elements, objects, shapes and forms defines his experimental attitudes. Encompassing sculpture, photography, painting, digital techniques and illustration, his projects are informed by abstraction and the complexity of experiential phenomena, such as the reflection of light or the evaporation of water. His works celebrate the diversity of ideas that can be found through experimentation and they often depict novel layers within accepted traditions and narratives.
Zedani’s recent projects include 4 (2017) organized by Maraya Art Center, Sharjah; 3 (2017) at Sharjah Art Museum and Tethered (2017) organised by DCT, Abu Dhabi. He recently won the Ithra Art Prize and presented a new project in Art Dubai (2018), which will be permanently installed in Ithra Centre, Dhahran.
