One of the most distinctive features of Abu Dhabi Art, expressing its unique perspecive on the internatjonal art world, is the Abu Dhabi ArtMiddle Eastern Platform: an ensemble of exhibitions, workshops, talks and more that focus on the creativity of contemporary Arab artists and the roles of the Arab insititutions especially their crucial impact on the cultural scene.

Al Ma’mal Foundation for Contemporary Art in Jerusalem is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote, instigate and make art by creating opportunities for experimentation, inspiration and education.
Darat al Funun is a non-profit foundation with a mission to spread awareness in the fields of the Arts, Architecture and Archaeology. The Khalid Shoman Foundation aims at being a haven for knowledge and progress and a home for the arts and the artists of the Arab world.

The Townhouse Gallery is a space for independent arts, aimed at promoting contemporary arts within the region and internationally. The gallery also hosts performances, film screening, lectures and workshops.

Abu Dhabi Art presents the launch of the Bidoun Library, a peripatetic, research project space founded and curated by the contemporary arts organisation Bidoun. This interactive, multi-media archive includes a range of documentation, artists’ books, catalogues, film, video and music relating to Middle Eastern contemporary art; featured publishers include Ashkal Alwan, the Arab Image Foundation, BAS, and Samandal. At Abu Dhabi Art, the library is presented in a ‘pop-up’ space co-designed by the UAE design agency Traffic. Beyond its debut in November, the Bidoun Library will continue to develop, form new collaborations, and tour to other venues, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Art.
